Dah a few times bila saya baca buku-buku 'start-ups' from US based companies such as Zaapos, Amazons, Toms etc., mereka selalau kata yang mereka mulakan business dengan diri mereka, a few adults and also interns.Just imagine yang korang baru set up company, mesti kena guna banyak duit for overheads kan? Besides that, korang perlukan testimonials and also marketing yang gila-gila betul tak?
Well, baru-baru ni, me and my wife ada berborak dalam kereta lepas balik dari kerja.
S: I think we need to have employees or in another words, maybe kita kena expand. Ye laa...Just imagine with the 2 of us, our sales so far dalam RM xx,xxx. Maybe kalau ada lebih dari kita berdua, kita boleh dapat RM xxx, xxx to RM x,xxx,xxx kan?
W: Ok. Let us try and see what are the possibilities.
Nak jadikan cerita panjang jadi pendek, kawan saya yang merupakan seorang pensyarah di Uniten ada call saya dan kata dia ada 3 students yang perlukan tempat praktikal.
Dah la bebudak yang nak buat praktikal ni 3 budak laki dari course Graphics and Multimedia which is called GM in their university.
So saya pun bagi tau my friend yang saya sudi ambik the 3 kids.
My idealogy is simple. kalau it turned out well, Alhamdulillah. Kalau tak, saya akan consider as this as my learning tools as CEO of a startup and charity.
Ada jugak orang yang nak perli saya dengan menanyakan kenapa saya hire interns. Kenapa tak hire permanent je.
Well. Jawapan kepada soalan macam ni mudah. Our budget is tight and we need to learn before it become a big headache. Betul?
